Silvia MÜLLER

At young age Silvia Müller, our Ayurveda Expert, came in contact with alternative healing methods, through her grandfather known as “Graben-Aebi”, who lived in Emmental Affoltern and was respected as a natural healer far beyond the Canton borders.

As a child, she has spent most of her vacations with her grand-parents and was often taken on hikes to the mountains by them, where they plucked herbs and berries. That has shaped her interest in natural herbs till today. Her first pocket money she has earned by helping her grand-parents to assemble and pack tea blends or to bottle cough syrup, various tinctures like i.e. heart-, lever- or kidney drops into small bottles.

Though, it took years before she came into contact with the Indian medicine – Ayurveda. This holistic system of medicine – the Science of life – caught her interest in such an extent that she did not mind to catch up with the baccalaureate at the age of 38 years, which was needed to dedicate 6 more years of her life for the medical-study in India thereafter.

In 2013 she has completed successfully her studies and obtained the “Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery” (B.A.M.S.) at the Gujarat Ayurved University of the State of Gujarat (India). The main subjects were Sanskrit, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Philosophy in vedic literature, Botany and Yoga among others. Beside 1-year of internship – completed in two different University-Hospitals in India – each of 6 months duration, which was a part of the B.A.M.S. course – she gained further experiences in various ayurvedic procedures during an additional visit to India and Sri Lanka. Those experiences took place in a private clinic in Kerala (India) and in two Governmental Hospitals in Sri Lanka. By the support of Dr. S.H. Acharya, a worldwide reputed Panchakarma expert, she deepened her knowledge of this Ayurveda-based detox procedure.

Back in Switzerland since 2015, she has participated the training course of “Ayurveda Rhyner Colleg 2015” under the guidance of the world-renowned Ayurveda-Expert Dr. Hans H. Rhyner and has assisted in his retreats in Austria and Switzerland. Further she is registered by EMR and is a member of the board of OdA-AM in the Committee of Quality Control (QSK).
